CTE Hosts Annual Meeting in Atlanta for Key Stakeholders

November 14, 2022

On October 24th and 25th, the Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) hosted our Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. This event welcomed CTE's members, Board of Directors, Policy Board, and all CTE staff for strategic networking and an opportunity to receive exclusive insights into CTE's work and future direction.

Notably, CTE kicked off the two-day event with its inaugural Policy Advisory Council Meeting as an exclusive benefit to CTE's Leadership Circle members. This meeting provided the opportunity for CTE's market leads and Policy Board to sit down with Leadership Circle members to discuss legislative strategy for each of CTE's target markets. These market-level breakout groups entertained in-depth discussions about the challenges around zero-emission transportation technology adoption and commercialization, as well as potential public policy solutions to address these challenges. The lively discussions between CTE's market leads, Policy Board, and members created the foundation for the ongoing development of CTE's 2023 legislative agenda. Early in 2023, CTE will host a Leadership Circle Summit in Washington DC to present the finalized agenda, hear updates from key congressional members and their staffers, and strategize partnership opportunities for executing CTE's legislative agenda.

CTE leadership team, project managers, and engineers presented key case studies from CTE's portfolio of more than 100 active projects representing CTE's priority markets and servicesDay two consisted of a full-day meeting with CTE's members, Board of Directors, Policy Board, and staff to review updates on CTE's State of the Organization, Strategic Plan, and key projects within each of CTE's four service areas. Staff presented on the dynamic growth of CTE's project portfolio, staffing, organizational structure, and membership.

CTE staff lead collaborative visioning sessionAfter a comprehensive review of CTE's work, the group broke out into small working groups for a collaborative visioning session, where member organizations were given a hypothetical project scenario to promote collaboration and ingenuity. This exercise showcased how our members can work together to create the technological solutions the clean transportation industry strives for every day.

The event concluded with a dinner at Sweet Water Brewing, where our members could continue to build upon the connections they made throughout the day while they enjoyed dinner and sampled some of Atlanta's famous locally brewed beer.

CTE and our members are excited to continue the momentum from the Annual Meeting into 2023 and beyond. Opportunities to interact with our members provides motivation for our talented staff to continue to move communities and operators down the path to an entirely zero-emission transportation future.
