CTE Announces Hire of Government Affairs Strategic Advisor, Anna Hansen

Atlanta, GA - CTE Executive Director, Daniel J. Raudebaugh, is excited to announce the hire of Anna Hansen as CTE's Government Affairs Strategic Advisor. Joining CTE's Policy Team, Anna will play a pivotal role in spearheading clean transportation advocacy efforts in Washington, D.C. The Policy Team acts as a vital link between industry experiences on the ground and the formulation of programmatic support for zero-emission transportation deployment projects by policymakers. Anna's extensive involvement in D.C. will be instrumental in guiding CTE and its members through the unprecedented landscape of national transportation and infrastructure policy.

"With the incredible market growth over the past several years, we recognize that we can do more and are excited to add Anna to our team. Her extensive experience in federal budget policy and her deep understanding of transportation and infrastructure interagency processes will make her an invaluable addition. I am confident that her expertise, enthusiasm, and dedication will drive our transportation and infrastructure portfolio to new heights," said CTE Executive Director, Dan Raudebaugh.

Anna's career sits squarely at the intersection of federal budget policy and process implementation. She brings knowledge of key transportation and infrastructure interagency policy processes as well as a wealth of relationships with Congressional and federal career staff. She has played an integral role in the passage of nearly every federal budget deal since 2019.

Most recently, she served in the Biden Administration's Office of Management and Budget as an advisor to Director Shalanda Young. Anna managed the Director's approval processes, and also served as the agency's Executive Secretary. She was a lead staffer on the OMB Nominations team, and managed the agency's external stakeholder engagement throughout the President's budget process. Anna was the liaison between the agency and the President's Staff Secretary team, drafting and editing key memorandums from the Director to President Biden and his Advisors.

Anna previously worked for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Appropriations and the Legislative Branch Subcommittee under Chairman Tim Ryan, where she led the Subcommittee's oversight work in the months following the January 6th Insurrection, and the passage of the Capitol Security Supplemental.

As CTE's Government Affairs representative, Anna will bring incredible expertise and enthusiasm to the Policy team and CTE's overall legislative and advocacy work.

Anna received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duquesne University and a Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan.
