Flywheel Energy Storage and Conservation

• A kick-off meeting was held at DOE Morgantown with the program manager and a progress review with Motor Generator vendor. 
• The Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), a system used for controlling the rotational speed of an AC electric current by controlling the frequency of the electrical power supplied to the motor, is complete and the motor is currently in production. 
• The interface design adaptation and the development of specifications for facility modification are currently in progress.
