DeKalb County/Metropolitan Atlanta Alternative Fuel and Advanced Vehicle Project

CNG Stations:

DeKalb County placed orders for all CNG vehicles except two pick-up trucks and are awaiting the deliver of the remaining CNG vehicles.  In place of the two pick-ups, DeKalb County has ordered two CNG Honda Civics. On October 27, 2011, they conducted the official groundbreaking ceremony for the LFG-to-RNG facility.  Construction activities are ongoing for LFG-to-RNG project.  DeKalb County erected the building frame and delivered a majority of the equipment to the site..  The Notice to Proceed was issued to Winter Environmental for Seminole CNG Fueling Station, the project team conducted the kick-off meeting, and initial design is in progress.

PS Energy has completed land preparation and delivered equipment to the third site.  The project team declared the equipment operational at the first site (East Point).

Vehicles:

Marriott received delivery of the 2 CNG units, deployed the units and submitted for grant reimbursement. UPS completed the vehicle supplier contracts. The Parking Spot is continuing to operate the 20 units that have been deployed to date.  They also deployed the final 12 units and submitted for grant reimbursement request.
City of Atlanta finalized the procurement process for Round 2 Vehicle purchase.  The parking operator selected a successful bidder.
