The Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) is partnering with Laketran in Lake County, Ohio to deploy three Proterra battery electric buses, with plans to expand the electric fleet in the near future. CTE will work alongside Laketran to successfully deploy the buses – from charger construction and route modeling to final bus design.
This project is part of Laketran’s larger Battery Electric Fleet Conversion Project. This investment will help Laketran’s plan to become one of the first transit agencies in Ohio to have all of its fixed-route local bus service run with zero-emission technology. The project was made possible by the funding of the Low-No Grant program through the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
