Biofuels
Clean Cities – Atlanta is currently focusing its efforts on the expansion of the biofuels market in the region. Biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, are clean burning alternative fuels derived from domestic and renewable sources. Biofuel use, as an alternative or additive to petroleum, can result in a healthier environment, a stronger economy, and energy independence. As production facilities develop in the Southeast and the State of Georgia, opportunities for the distribution and retail availability of biofuels is steadily growing. Moving forward, CC-A seeks to support the growth of this energy sector and work with fleets to incorporate biofuels into daily practices.
CC-A has developed the following fact sheets to provide consumers, fleets, alternative fuel producers, distributors, and retailers with resources on and contact information for biofuels, specifically ethanol and biodiesel.
